Buttock augmentation has become a highly sought-after procedure for men and women of all ages. While some are unhappy with the natural fullness they were given, others are seeking to correct age-related volume loss. Buttock augmentations are highly individualized based on a patient’s desired aesthetics.

Image Surgical Arts offers several solutions for men and women that would like to resize or reshape their backside. Each option has pros and cons that may have you leaning one way or the other. Let’s take a closer look at each to give you an idea of what may or may not be the best for you.

Brazilian Butt Lift

A Brazilian buttock lift is a unique procedure that uses your own fat to enhance your backside. During the procedure, fat is harvested from another area of your body (usually the abdomen, flanks, or thighs). Once the fat is removed via specialized liposuction methods, it is then prepared for re-injection.

Fat transfer typically produces immediate results with long-lasting outcomes. Recovery is fairly straightforward, and because the procedure uses your own fat cells, post-procedural complications are minimal. A Brazilian buttock lift is designed to look and feel natural for years to come.

 Buttock Implants

Buttock implants typically produce the most dramatic results. Silicone-based implants come in a variety of shapes and sizes allowing you to effectively meet your aesthetic preferences. Dr. Harris uses advanced surgical techniques for precision placement for all implants. Although recovery can take several weeks, you can expect long-term results with this treatment option. Additionally, buttock implants have the highest complication rate of any of the other treatment options.

The ideal candidate for buttock implants is someone who wants to significantly increase volume but doesn’t have enough fat throughout their body for less invasive methods. Patients’ should be in otherwise good general health and have realistic expectations about what implants can do for them.
