Introducing Elluminate 3 Lasers Are Better than 1

We all wish we had perfect skin, but we do not. The aging process, the environment (especially the sun), and the genes we inherited all conspire to create uneven tone or texture, red or brown patches, scars from acne, and dreaded lines and wrinkles. Any one of us could see any or all of these issues on our face or elsewhere on our body. Thankfully, Image Surgical Arts offers remedies to these imperfections.

Elluminate is a unique laser treatment that can do even more than traditional laser devices to give your skin a smoother, fresher, more youthful appearance.

Why Elluminate?

Many laser devices that are commonly used for cosmetic enhancement incorporate crystals to create the desired beam of energy. Different types of crystals have unique properties that determine the wavelength and bandwidth of the laser’s output beam. The Elluminate device is unlike other lasers because it uses three different crystals instead of just one. That means we can use it to treat different types of skin issues at multiple depths, simultaneously.

More specifically, for Elluminate treatment at Image Surgical Arts, we use:

  • A 1064 nm laser (garnet), which addresses redness and vascular issues such as rosacea and spider veins.
  • A 755 nm (alexandrite), which addresses browns and pigmentation issues from sun damage, etc.
  • A 532 nm (erbium), which addresses skin texture issues such as scarring and wrinkles. This part is lightly ablative, much like a microlaser peel.

As the lasers work to correct specific problems, they are also stimulating new, deeper production of collagen to promote healthier new skin. This treatment is not painful, but there can be some discomfort. Clients who want to be extra-relaxed can choose to use Pro-Nox, a self-controlled breathable gas that helps to minimize any discomfort you may experience.

The Elluminate treatment takes only about 30 minutes, and there is no downtime required. For the week prior to your Elluminate appointment, you will have to stop using any products that contain active ingredients such as glycolic acid, retinol, retin-a, and hydroquinone, but you can resume using them again one week after the treatment.

Could You Benefit from Elluminate?

Only if there is something about your skin tone or texture you want to improve! One of the many reasons our team at Image Surgical Arts is so excited about Elluminate is that we can use the treatment to improve skin appearance and condition almost anywhere on the body. That said, we most often recommend it for the face, neck, décolletage, back, and hands.

Results!

We recommend a series of 3 treatments to achieve maximum results. However, some clients can see great improvement with only one treatment, especially if they combine that with proper use of at-home, medical grade skin care products and, in some cases, other aesthetic treatments designed to maintain good skin health.

We will send you home with a post-care kit that includes everything you need to keep your skin protected and to help you get the best possible results. In most cases, clients experience some mild to moderate redness after their treatment, and your skin may start to micro-shed in 3-5 days. You will be able to wear mineral makeup the day after the procedure, and of course you must wear sunscreen.
