Brazilian Buttock Lift
A Brazilian buttock lift can help women achieve a fuller, more rounded backside. The two-in-one procedure uses autologous fat (fat from your own body) to naturally enhance the buttocks without implants. Unwanted fat elsewhere on the body is removed at the same time. Women who are unhappy with the proportion of their body due to genetics can benefit from a Brazilian lift. Dr. Harris has studied buttock proportions extensively and understands how different cultural backgrounds can lead to different expectations in buttock lift surgery. For example, some prefer wider buttocks while others may prefer a more projected result.
A Brazilian Buttock Lift Can:
- Enhance the curve of the buttocks
- Enhance the projection of the buttocks
- Improve skin laxity on the buttocks
- Remove unwanted fat from problem areas
- Improve self-image
- Provide a better fit for clothing
How Does a Brazilian Butt Lift Work?
After your initial consultation, Dr. Harris will schedule your Brazilian buttock lift at Image Surgical Arts’ state-of-the-art surgical center in Nashville, TN. The procedure is performed in two steps. First, fat cells are harvested via liposuction from another part of your body (typically the back and if needed or desired, the abdomen and thighs). The autologous fat is then purified and readied for injection. Dr. Harris precisely transfers the fat to increase the size and proportions of your buttocks to desired fullness. Because not all fat will survive the procedure, extra fat cells may be added.
When Can I Expect to See Results?*
A more contoured shape will be apparent immediately following your procedure. Final results, however, may not be evident until swelling subsides and the buttocks settle over the course of 4-months. A Brazilian buttock lift is designed to look and feel natural for years to come. Removed fat cells won’t return, and new fat in the buttocks continues to exist long-term.
Does It Hurt?*
Pain is typically minimal with a Brazilian buttock lift and can be easily controlled with prescribed medication. After your procedure, you’ll be asked to avoid sitting or lying directly on your buttocks for at least two-weeks. Fat grafting uses your own fat and reduces the risk of potential complications compared to implants.
Am I a Good Candidate?
A good candidate for a Brazilian buttock lift is a non-smoker, in good overall health and has adequate donor fat. Patients should have realistic expectations about what the procedure can do for them. Dr. Harris will create a customized treatment plan based on your body type to help you achieve your end-goals.
