Blepharoplasty Procedure
Blepharoplasty surgeries are performed in our state-of-the-art surgical facility as an outpatient procedure. Dr. Harris makes precise incisions hidden in the natural folds of the eye to remove excess fat pads and skin that are causing you to look older than you are. The procedure takes about 1 hour and can be customized to treat your individual needs. An eyelid lift can be paired with a number of other cosmetic procedures such as a facelift, brow lift, neck lift, and/or laser skin resurfacing for more dramatic results.
Blepharoplasty Recovery + Results
The majority of patients find the procedure quite tolerable. Most blepharoplasty surgeries are done with a local anesthetic and under light intravenous sedation or an inhaled analgesic to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. In many cases, you can return to work in as little as 2-3 days. However, full recovery time can take up to 1 week or more. You will want to take it easy for the first day, allowing your body to use energy for healing.Â
Immediately following your eyelid lift, you’ll notice a fresher-looking facial appearance. Gradual improvement will continue to occur as post-surgical swelling subsides over the course of a couple weeks.
