How Does It Work?
During your initial consultation, Dr. Harris and his team will talk to you about your goals, and assess your cosmetic concerns before creating an individualized treatment plan. A handheld device is then used to emit focused beams of light to predetermined areas. As energy passes through the skin, darkly pigmented hair follicles are damaged at the base of the follicle. Surrounding tissue remains completely unharmed. Depending on the treatment area, laser hair removal can take as little as a couple minutes.
When Can I Expect to See Results?*
You may see some results immediately, however, most hair will not fall out until 1-3 weeks post-treatment. Laser hair removal can only target hairs that are in their active growth phase making several treatments necessary to achieve desired results. Treatments are spaced anywhere from 6-10 weeks apart, and you may require 6 or more sessions.
Does It Hurt?*
Discomfort and side effects are typically minimal with laser hair removal. Most patients equate the sensation to that of being snapped with a small rubber band. Any side effects such as swelling, redness, or mild pain after your procedure should subside within the day.
Am I a Good Candidate?
